For most non-document shipments, customs requires KYC — a self-attested copy of an ID with address, such as Aadhaar, passport or voter ID — and an invoice or declaration of the contents and value. Businesses usually provide GST and IEC details. We'll tell you exactly what applies to your shipment before pickup.
Not for personal shipments or gifts. An Importer Exporter Code (IEC) is generally needed for commercial exports, such as orders you're selling to customers abroad.
Some medicines can be sent for personal use with a valid prescription and the pharmacy bill, in original packaging — narcotic and psychotropic drugs can't. For food, many countries (such as the USA and Australia) refuse homemade items; sealed, labelled, commercially packed food is more likely to be accepted. Rules depend on the destination, so always ask us first.
Yes. We arrange inbound shipments to India and guide the receiver through the process. Share the pickup country and what's being sent, and we'll explain the options.
Import duty and taxes are usually paid by the receiver in India before delivery, and the receiver may need to complete KYC. Under current Indian customs rules, gifts sent by courier are generally not duty-free (life-saving medicines and rakhis are exceptions). We'll explain what to expect for your shipment.
Cash and currency, explosives, flammable items, aerosols, weapons, narcotics and illegal goods are prohibited. Liquids, loose lithium batteries, medicines, food, plants, seeds, jewellery and valuables are restricted, especially internationally. If you're unsure, ask us before booking.
